Täällä taas - Here again

Piti ensimmäiseksi testata, että saako tänne kuvaa, kun viimeksi jäi kuvia laittamatta "kuvatilan täyttymisen" vuoksi. Olisi pitänyt ottaa joku uusi kuvapalvelin käyttöön. Täytynee kyllä vissiin näitä ihan tosissaan ruveta tutkimaan, kun pahasti näyttää siltä, että Vuodatus on mennyt niin hankalaksi, ettei siellä oikein tahdo mikään pelittää. Ja tänään ei ole koko vuodatukseen enää päässyt lainkaan. Taisiko mennä huitsin nevadaan saman tein, mistäs tietää...

Pitänee vain "ryhdistäytyä" ja napsia käyttöön vain niitä parhaimpia kuvia ja jättää selittelyt sitten vain kirjallisiksi, vaikka itse asiassa haluaisin käyvän juuri päinvastoin. Kuvat vain nyt sanovat yksikin enemmän kuin tuhat sanaa...

Päälimmäisenä mielessä nyt on eilinen kasitieltä tästä meidän lähistöltä löytynyt koirapari, mikä tuolla autojen keskellä juoksentelivat ja vain nipin napin selvisivät törmäykseltä. Onneksi antoivat ottaa kiinni. Sakemanni (tai sakumix) ja joku noutajatyyppinen koira - pimeää oli, niin rotumääritys ei tuon tarkempi ollut. Eilen illalla kun ovikello soi myöhään, että jos me tunnettais alueelta joku, kenen koirat ne mahtais olla. Valitettavasti ei. Jos olisi ollut vain yhdestä koirasta kyse, niin olis voitu ottaa meille yöksi, mutta kun niitä oli kaksi. Liian riskaabelia ihan vieraitten ihmisten vieraita, isokokoisia koiria ottaa tähän meidän kolmen koiran ja kolmen kissan katraaseen yhtäkkiä yötä vasten. Soittivat sitten Mynämäen löytöeläintaloon ja veivät koirat sinne. Ihan olivat kilttejä koiria, että luulisi jonkun niitä pian kaipailevan.

Last time here I got a notice of not enough space for photos and they wanted me to register into some other photo bank, that I really didn't want to. But I guess, I have to look into some, if the old blog is too difficult, or if it even "runs" any more. I got this photo here now without any difficulties, but I can't find a place where it's said how much space there really is left in here. :/

Well, maybe I should start using only the better photos and do most in writing, but somehow I've liked the photos are much easier to "read". One photo can say more than a thousand words, and I believe it's true.

But now I'm thinking of the two dogs that was found near us, running in between cars on the road where there's a lot of traffic all the time, even at nights. The other one was almost hit by the lorry, but luckily didn't. One couple, who themselves has two dogs (at home) stopped and the other German Shepherd (or mix) was so tired already that he himself jumped to the car voluntarily and the other (some kind of retriever or mix) came about a bit later. The other one had a collar, but no phone number was found. 'Cos they couldn't get the dogs to their own apartment, they started a round in the neighborhood and ringing people's doorbells. No-one recognized the dogs. Then they ended up in our yard and 'cos I didn't recognize the dogs either, I asked them to get them into the animal shelter that's situated quite near their home. They have not even known there is such a place. Found a phone number and then they started there. We've taken quite many stray dogs and cats into our house in these years we've been living here, but two large size strange dogs just before the sleeping time would've been too risky for me. Hope their owner will soon "wake up" and start asking of whereabouts they could be. Nicely behaved they were, so no problem dogs at all. I'd think they will soon be missed.

Äh! - Uch!

Varablogi taas käyttöön, kun Vuodatukseen ei näköjään pääse edes postauksia lukemaan, saatika hallinnointiin. Öh! Ei kiva, ei ollenkaan. Toivon, että tuo tarkoittaa jotain korjauspäivityksiä, mutta pelkään, että ei.

Can't reach the blog in Vuodatus, so took this place in use for awhile again. So frustrating. Hoping the problem means new updates that will fix some things, but afraid it will not be so.

Kiinankello näyttää tekevän kukkia yksittäin sinne tänne silloin tällöin. En ole leikannut noita kesällä auringossa käpertyneitä lehtiäkään, vaikka ehkä pitäisi. Kadi taustalla katselee lintujen touhuja takaterassilla. En tiedä, mitä siellä tekevät, mutta kovasti piipahtelevat lasien takana. Ei nyt sentään koputtelemassa lasiin, niinkuin joskus keittiössä ovat tehneet, kun niiden ruoka on loppunut.

Our Chinese Bell is making one flower once in awhile. Haven't cut the leafs that were harmed by the sun during the summer either. Maybe I should. Kadi is looking at the birds that are often visiting our back terrace. Don't know what they are really doing, but seen often behind the windows. Not knocking on the glass this time though, like they sometimes do in the kitchen when their food has ended.

Välityö käsiin, kun ristipistoiluille on ollut liian hämärää ja palapeiton reunuslankaa ei ole, niin tein tuubihuivin. Se löysi lopulta tiensä tyttären kaulalle. Lämmintä, mutta kuitenkin pestävää.

New tube scarf found it's way to our daughter's neck. She always need something warm, especially when they are staying here. Their appartment is much warmer, so it feels cold here for them.

Paluuta - Going back

Kaveriviltti - Couple quilt

Sainpahan vihdoinkin valmiiksi tuon parin edelliselle palapeitolle (vasemmassa alalaidassa näkyy molemmat peitot taiteltuina). Välillä kun oli pitkiä aikoja, kun en päässyt paloja kutomaan ja moni palanen on tuplana myös niin vaati useampia paloja, mitä peittoon olisi tarvittu, jos kaikki olisi samanpaksuista lankaa.

Finished my second quilt at last. On the bottom left there's both quilts on the terrace box. There were times I wasn't able to knit at all, and some of the pieces are douple, 'cos the yarn was not all at similar thickness. So, it took time, but in the end it got ready.

Nyt vain pitäisi olla kelit, ettei tarvitse pelätä näitten kastumista. Näihin kun on käytetty IHAN kaikkea ja kaikenlaista lankaa, mitä multa löytyi, niin osaa ei saisi pestä...

Now I'm just waiting for the suitable weathers I could keep these out. Don't want it to get wet. Some of the yarn I used is not washable...

Korkeasaaressa - In the Zoo

Harmaassa ja sateessa lähdettiin siskon ja miehensä kanssa ajelemaan kohti Helsinkiä eilen. Samalla piipahdettiin täyttämässä vatsamme kummityttömme ja hänen poikaystävänsä ahkeroimilla herkuilla, mistä suurkiitos! <3
Started towards Helsinki in a really grey weather. My sister's hubby drove and we visited our goddaughter on the way. Got our tummies full of yummies!

Kuvia tuli taas melkein 400 otettua, eli tarkkaansanottuna 368. Menipä siinä taas aikaa valitessa, mitkä kuvat haluaa säilyttää ja mitkä poistaa, mitkä pienentää, mitkä laittaa valokuva-albumikansioon.
Took almost four hundred photos, well actually 368. So, it took some time for me to go through them. Which photos to spare and what to put away, what to get a bit smaller and what to be saved for the album.

Aivan ihania kukkaistutuksia ja oleskelualueita siellä täällä saarta. Mikseivät yhdistä jotenkin näitä kasvitieteellisen puutarhan kanssa, kun mahdollisuuksia taatusti olisi? Olisi nytkin ollut kiva tietää monien kasvien nimet, joita olivat käyttäneet siellä puutarhoissa.
There were a lot of really beautifully made flower arrangements all over the island. Was wondering why the botanical garden haven't used the opportunity to take some space from here for their plants, there's manure close, too.

Ihasteltiin myös vallan upeita hiekkatöitä, joita jatkuvat sateet eivät olleet kovinkaan paljoa vaurioittaneet. Siellä linnut kiipeilivät niillä myös, ja silti pysyivät nätteinä.
Quite spectacular sand statues there also. Made already at the begining of the summer and though there's been a LOT of rain, they looked like made yesterday. So nice.

Joissakin häkeissä oli lasiruudut, joitten läpi olisi saanut hyviäkin kuvia paremmin kuin verkkojen läpi. Tietysti JOS ruutu olisi ollut puhdas. Monet olivat niin harmaita, että niitten läpi kuvaaminen vain ei onnistunut millään. Oma kamera ainakin pakkasi automaattisesti kohdentamaan siihen likaisuuteen, eikä sen taakse olevaan kuvauskohteeseen. Joitakin muutamia poikkeuksia lukuunottamatta. Ja jos yleisö seuraa eläimiä, niin kyllä ne eläimetkin joskus kummastelevat yleisöä, niinkuin tässä lumileopardi. Upea otus!
Some cages had a glass to help taking photos. Well, they would've helped, if they would've been clean. Now many of them were so grey the focus from the camera didn't go through the glass. Only in a few places it worked as it was supposed to. And if the people are looking in, the animals are also looking out at times. Beautiful creature!

Paljon pieniä kivoja yksityiskohtia, upeita rakennuksia, mahtavia kallioita koko saari pullollaan. Vähän on tummia kuvat, kun aurinkoa ei nähty.
There were also a lot of small details, wonderful buildings, magnificient rocks in the island. Bit dark some photos, 'cos it was so dark. Rained when we arrived and saw rain outside the island a few times, but not other than a few drops on us any more. Wet it still was.

Upea, iso ilves oli liikkeellä ja koitti saada häkkiinsä eksyneitä variksia kiinni. Pääsi siis toteuttamaan saalistusviettiään sillä tavoin. Ei kyllä tainnut onnistua tässä, ainakaan juuri meidän siellä ollessamme.
Great looking huge lynx was trying to catch some birds that were in her cage. Didn't get any, as far as we could see, though. But it was good to see she was alert and ready to run. The cage was a good size, so there were room for running, too.

Tämä oli yksiä puhtaimpia laseja, joitten läpi pääsi kuvaamaan. Siitäkin tuli kovasti heijastuksia yleisöstä, joka oli siinä lähellä kaunista pantteria ihastelemassa. Väritkin haalenivat.
This was one of the cleanest glasses there was. Still it got some reflections from the people that were behind it, looking and admiring the animal. Affected the colors, too.

Here's the same cat without glass, but behing the fence. So, so beautiful she is!

Tiikeri myös lasin takaa kuvattuna. On se vaan jyhkeä ja kaunis eläin! Katsokaa nyt, mitkä tassutkin sillä on! Suloinen kuin mikä!
This tiger is also photoed behind the glass. Huge animal, so powerful and spectacular. And cute! One of my favourite animals.

Kameleista ei niin edustava kuva, mutta piti napata zoomilla, kun tuolla toisella näyttää niin hassusti olevan taitettuna takajalat, ettei mitään määrää. Näytti todella luonnottomalta ja hassulta, mutta niin vain siitäkin ylös noustiin. =P
Not the best angle of photo from the camels, but just wanted to take the photo of the funny looking back legs of the one on the right. Seems quite unnatural somehow, but up it went quite nicely. :)

Erilaisia Amazonin ja Afrikan ja mikähän se yksi mahtoikaan olla (?) eläviä. Hyönteisiä, matelijoita, nilviäisiä, lintuja, apinoita... Minä ihastelin ympäristön vehreyttä ja viidakkomaisuutta huoneissa. Oli lammikoita, vesiputouksia, puita pensaita, puskia. Upeaa!
There were buildings of Amazon and Africa and some other places in the world. Insects, snakes, worms, birds, apes... I mostly enjoyed the surroundings with jungle like greenness and freshness everywhere. Ponds, waterfalls, trees, bushes. Beautiful! 

Kaikenmoiset hämähäkit, torakat, toukat ym. ei kovasti innosta. Eikä kaikkia osannut edes lasien takaa bongatakaan. Ympäristö onneksi oli kaunista myös.
I don't much care about all the spiders, cockroaches, maggots and such. Some of them were well hidden, too, so we didn't even spot them through the glass. But I was happy enjoying other aspects of the display.   

Mentiin vähän ristiin rastiin, kun ei tuolla oikein kunnon reittiä taida olla, että miten kannattaa kulkea, jotta kaiken näkisi ja kokisi, mitä koettavaa on. Mutta ei se haitannut. Saarelle tultiin pienessä sateessa, mutta kun se loppui, se ei uudestaan enää alkanut. Vaikka kyllä nähtiin saarelta, että kauempana satoi kyllä.
Had to go here and there, walk zigzag, 'cos there wasn't any particular route to go. But we had time and in the end it took us about four hours. Lazy walking and in the end it was great not to have had too hot a day. That would've been a nuisance. We were lucky!

Pesukarhu löysi jotain syötävää ja se piti tietysti käydä pesemässä ensin. :) Hauska!
A raccoon found somehting to eat and went to the water to get it washed. So cute! =)

Näitä upeita istutuksia ja pieniä lampialueita oli saarella siellä täällä. Kiva, kun ovat panostaneet ympäristöönkin näin upeasti.
There were a lot of nicely put perennial flowerbeds and sitting areas, some of them with a little pond or a creek. Some of the sitting areas had a barbeque as well - for family picnicks.

Hieno päivä! Siskon mies ajoi matkat sinne ja takaisin, mistä suurkiitos! Ei tuo uusi suora moottoritie täältä sinne (ja toisinpäin, tietty myös) oikein mitenkään silmiä hivelevä ole. Varsinkaan näin kun mennen tullen satoi vettä. Ei pahemmin löydy mitään sen kummempaa katseltavaa. Valleja erilaisia, louhittua kalliota, vallia taas. Jokunen hassu paikka, mistä näkyi peltoa miltei silmänkantamattomiin, mikä olikin viehättävää. Saa siinä kuski löytää itselleen jotain kiinnostavaa, että pysyy hereillä.
The day was really wonderful! The road from Turku to Helsinki isn't anything to be enjoyed, with the view, I mean. There's mostly the voice walls, made by rocks, wood or glass and congrete, nothing much to see. Only in few places there were these field areas where you could see fields for as far as there was something to see both on the left and right. And then we were in the between the walls again.

Mies oli siellä jo siskon perheen pihalla odottamassa, kun tultiin, hän oli hoitanut koirien iltapäivälenkityksen työpäivänsä päätteeksi. Eka työpäivä loman jälkeen, sateisen sellaisen tällä kertaa. Kyllä vaan olikin upea päivä!
My hubby was already waiting for me in the yard of my sister's when we came. He took care of the afternoon walk with the dogs after his work. First day after the holidays. Really rainy this year. But I truly enjoyed myself, the whole day through!

Jotain - Something

Sosiaalisen kissanpennun hoitaminen on hauskaa, mutta kyllä se melkoista kokopäivätyötä myös on. =D Yhtenä hetkenä kurkistelemassa ikkunasta ulos, melkein siinä samassa syömässä kasveja kukkatasolla tai pyrkimässä hyllyköitä pitkin korkeuksiin. Vikkelä liikkeissään. Kovasti myös koittaa saada Susua ja Mustista kanssaan leikkimään, joskus jotakuta koiristakin. Toisinaan surutta käykin Susun kimppuun, kun Susu ei tee mitään, pitää isoa mekkalaa vain. Joskus on pakko mennä rauhoittamaan väliin, ettei Susun pinna oikeasti katkea.

It's really fun following the really active and social kitten, though it's quite a bit of job, too. At one time the kitten is looking out of the window and the next she's in the other floor or at least the other side of the room. Eating my plants, climbing up the shelves, trying to get a playmate from other pets.

Se on vain usein sellaista, että murisenpa nyt saadakseni pennun rauhoittumaan, mutta tykkään huomiosta silti. Nuolee toista, sihisee, nuolee taas ja murisee päälle. Väistää joskus vähän, mutta ei useinkaan lähde tilanteesta kuitenkaan pois. Ja jos joskus nostaa tilanteesta pois, kun miettii, että antaa toiselle rauhan ja päästää taas toisaalla menemään, niin sinnehän se Fixin lähettyville tie taas vie. ;) Tykkään, en tykkää, tykkään kuitenkin - menttaliteetilla mennään. Ja pakopaikaksi usein riittää, että Susu kömpii peiton alle. ;) Fix katsoo, että mihin se katosi?

At times the noice Susu makes sounds like she's really pissed off, but then she can lick the kitten right after. I've carried Susu away from the Fix at times, but always she goes right back. :) I like, I don't like, I think I like anyways. ;) Digging under the quilt is often enough for getting some peace from Fix.

Kissa kun menee yläkertaan, alakertaan, keittiöön, olkkariin ja samat uudestaan ja uudestaan, niin ei siinä olla koneiltu, eikä pihailtu, vaikka itse asiassa tänään olisi ollut ihan hyvä keli. Kertaakaan ei satanut. Senverran sai katit olla keskenään, että lenkit koirien kanssa on tullut tehtyä. Nautiskellen!

As Fix runs upstairs, downstairs, kitchen, livingroom and same again and again - and again, I didn't do much else but tried to keep up. The dogs quite nicely leaves Fix alone, but when she runs real fast under their noses, there comes situations I have to intervene. Don't want any misshaps.

Myöhemmin illalla tytär miehensä kanssa sitten pakkasi taas tavarat kasaan ja Fix lähti heidän mukaansa. Nauratti, miten paljon tavaraa noinkin pienen kisun mukanaroudaaminen vaatii. :)
Later in the evening my daughter packed their things to the car and Fix went with them. Funny how much stuff a little cat needs when travelling. :)  

Isäntä innostui tässä viikonlopulla myös kevätkääryleitä ahkeroimaan. Hommaahan niissä oli, mutta herkkua tuli myös. Nam! Ekat syötiin sellaisinaan ja tänään loput riisin kera.

Some Spring rolls made by my hubby. These took time and effort to make, though they are not difficult. And they tasted really good. First ones we ate as they were and the rest with some rice. 

 

Have been enjoying nice weather here, though we've not been out but what walkings with the dogs. Hopefully this will last for awhile.

Aurinkoista - Being sunny

Toinen kaunis, aurinkoinen päivä peräkkäin, vaikka kosteaa on kyllä. En ihan niin paljon pystynyt ulkona tekemään, mitä olisin halunnut, kun en tykkää jättää vielä Fixiä sisälle vapaana olemaan ilman valvontaa. Liian monta kiinnostunutta nenää yhtaikaa ympärillä voi tehdä kenen tahansa olon hankalaksi. Mutten myöskään halunnut tätä kovin sosiaalista kissaa sulkea yhteen huoneeseenkaan liian pitkäksi aikaa kerrallaan.

Was the second day in a row, that was nice. Not too hot, though quite damp. Couldn't do as much as I would've liked in the yard, but just can't keep the Fix locked in one room for too many hours at a time. She's really social cat.

Senverran on koiruudet rauhoittuneet, ettei tarvi ihan koko ajan perässä mennäkään. Mikä on siis hyvä. Mitä enempi kissa menee ympärillä ja tulee "tavalliseksi", sitä vähemmän toinen muita kiinnostaa.

Not as interresting any more that Fix has been with us so many days what comes to the dogs. Kadi seems the most anxious of making contact and would like to play with her, but as others, I don't allow them to "rough play" inside, so not them either. To avoid any possibility for misunderstandings.

Mustis välillä haluaa liki, välillä pysytellä kaukana. Susu leikkii välillä Fixin kanssa oikein kunnolla, vaikka sitten jossainkohti sihahtaa toiselle, että nyt riittää. Ei sitä enää energia ihan tahdo riittää tuolle nuorukaiselle ja sen ketteryydelle. Sitten löydetään "turvallisia" makuupaikkoja, kuten esim. divaanilla filtin alla. ;)

Mustis would like to play with Fix at times, but then being left alone, too. Susu is playing really nicely with Fix, but Fix is so fast and energic she always tires up first. Youngsters are so lively. :) And then she's finding herself some "safe" places to sleep. Like on the divan, under the felt. 

Korjasin kukkapenkin kivireunuksen taas pitkästä aikaa. Muutaman vuoden välein se on tehtävä, kun muurahaiset tuntuvat aina pikkuhiljaa upottavan ne maahan. Kantavat multaa kivien alta sinne kivien väleihin ja sillä ne sitten aikaa myöden maahan vajoavat. Laitin sanomalehtiä kivien alle, mikä hippasen hidastaa tuota vajoamista. Toivon.

Did the rock edging for one of my flowerbeds again, once in a couple of years it has to be done. The ants seems to move them underground by time. They move the ground under the rocks first in between the rocks and then they are slowly sinking in. Put some newspapers under the rocks, so the process would be a tiny bit slower. I hope.

Ukkoskelejä on myös ollut, vaikkei meidän ylle sentään ole tullutkaan. Eilen jylisi ympärillämme oikein kunnolla, mutta meillä paistoi aurinko. Ei edes satanut yhtään, vaikka sateita kyllä selvästi näkyi pilvistä alas ryöpsyävän.

Yesterday it was sunny, though there were some thunders around us. We saw rain coming down from the clouds, but we didn't got a drop here. Funny kind of weather.
