Sateen jälkeen - After the rain

Isopäivänkakkara, The Shasta daisy (Leucanthemum x superbum)

Sanotaan, että sateen jälkeen paistaa aurinko, mutta nyt on kyllä monta päivää ropsauttanut ja pitänyt silti melkoisen harmaata keliä. Ehkä pienenpieniä auringonpilkahduksia siellä välissä. Narraamassa, että kohta alkaisi paistaa. Mutta ei. Märkää on. Lämpöä on minulle sopivasti ja lemmikitkin ovat virkeämpiä tässä, kun ei ole liian kuuma. Keksivät keskenään puuhailuja ja jaksavat pidempiä lenkkejäkin taas, eikä tarvi olla hurjasti huohottamassa koko ajan. Kameraa ei tosin siis lenkeille ole tullut otettua, kun en halua sitä kastamalla hajottaa. Tarpeeksi ottaa jo nokkiinsa nykyään monesta asiasta (kylmyys, kosteus jne.).

It is said to be sunny after the rain, but now there's been a lot of occational showers and really dark and cloudy afterwards. Only a hint of sun here and there, like only showing us the sun is still there, somewhere. Wet, wet, wet. But the temperature is now lower and that's good. I like it and the pets like it, as well. More energy to do things and also longer walks. Though haven't taken my camera with us, 'cos there's always the possibility for rain.

Kurjenkello, Peach-Leaved Bellflower (Campanula persicifolia)

Ystäväni oli blogissaan kuvaillut upeita vesipisarakuvia ja minunhan oli sitten "pakko" myös sateitten välissä kulkea pihaa ympäri ja napsia joitakin pisarakuvia.

My friend had some beautiful photos of the nature after the rain, and I just "had" to use the opportunity between the rains to go around our yard and take closer photos of the flowers.

Kurjenkello, Peach-Leaved Bellflower (Campanula persicifolia)

Lopulta sitten koneella sain huomata, että suurin osa niistä oli todella epätarkkoja. Joitakin onnistuneempia sentään joukossa. Ilman salamaa tuulikin vaikuttaa, kun kasvit huojuvat, eikä sitä oma käsikään ihan paikallaan pysy, vaikka kuinka yrittää.
In the end when uploaded the photos to my computer, I noticed most of the photos were blurred. The wind moved the flowers and my hands didn't be steady enough either.

Rohtosormustinkukka, Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea)

Osa kukista oli hyvin suojattujakin ylhäältäpäin tulevalta sateelta. Pelkäsin, miten joudun keksimään jotain rohtosormustinkukille kehikoksi, että pysyvät sateella pystyssä, mutta ovat niin vankkaa tekoa, ettei tukea ole tarvittu.
Some of the flowers are quite safe from the rain coming from the top. I was a bit worried if I need to figure out a way to keep my Foxgloves up 'cos of the rain. The flowers are coming quite heavy when wet. But those are quite stout and keeping their position nicely without any of my help.
